Start with a pale pastel blue fondant (keep some white fondant on hand just in case you get it a little too dark).
Petal dusts must have been used to achieve the suttle pastel shades. Some shading can be done using the airbrush too.
Most of the fondant sea shapes were formed by hand. Punch holes and detail using gumpaste tools.
The bubble border - use a plain tip about size 11.
She figure-piped the mermaid and added details with small plain writing tips # 1 or 2.
The top can be made using royal icing. Make the cattails etc and let them dry overnight.
