4" square cakepan Royal icing Rolled fondant icing (Sugarpaste), approx 2.5 - 3kg Magic sparkles (edible glitter) Pastillage icing (or gumpaste) approx 900g Green paste coloring + cooled boiled water Pink paste coloring Dusting powder: pale green Sieved conf. sugar for rolling 25g white petal dust Marzipan NOTE: The castle can be made with pound cakes or fruit cakes. Level the tops if necessary and cover top and sides with marzipan. The best results are cakes that have level tops and sides. 4" cake card (optional) Kitchen roll Templates for towers and turrets + lightweight cardboard (shirt boards) |
