"Star Spangled Fun" Available HERE

Salute the 4th with our classic quick and easy flag cake. One cake-mix pan bakes the details into the cake and you simply
cover them with red, white and blue stars. Serves 12.
To decorate you'll need:
· Flag Pan
· Tubes 4, 16 and 21
· Color Flow Icing Mix
To decorate:
1. Use pan surface to trace paper pattern for 13 stars. Outline star patterns with tube 4, white icing, fill in with color flow. Ice cake sides and right corner of cake top white.
2. Starting at top of cake, fill in first and every other stripe with tube 16 red stars. Fill in remaining flag stripes with
tube 16 white stars. Fill in upper left-hand corner square with tube, 16 blue stars.
3. Edge cake top with tube 4 white beads. Edge cake base with tube 21 white zigzag puffs and tube 21 white stars.
Position color flow stars on cake top.

Uncle Sam's Holiday

Welcome the 4th of July with a bang! This happy cake has stars, stripes and the excitement of a
skyrocket. Serves 12.

To decorate you'll need: (page listings are from the 2001 Yearbook only)
· Oval Pan Set.
· Tubes 2 and 17
· '78 Pattern Book, (4th of July Pattern)
· Color Flow Icing Mix
· Uncle Sam Hats - we don't carry these
· Art Brush
· Florist Wire

To decorate:
1. Outline 4th of July "BANG" letters and star patterns with
tube 2 and fill in with color flow. When dry, attach stars to florist wires with royal icing and ends together.
2. Ice 2-layer cake top white.
Cover sides of cake with triple, vertical rows of tube 17 alternating  white, red blue stars. Edge cake top and
base with tube 17 white shells.
3. Add tube 17 white  drape around top and base of  cake sides; trim points with tube 17 star puffs. Position color
letters on cake and push wired color flow star cluster in cake top. Fill Uncle Sam Hats with candy for unforgettable
Fourth of July favors.

Small cake-style ice cream cone

INSTRUCTIONS
Positions 2 Petite Loaves for arm holding torch and ice together. Carefully trim ridged portion on top area of head to flatten. Ice sides and background area of cake smooth. Using a toothpick make an outline of Miss Liberty. Ice window in crown smooth. Outline robe, crown and facial features with tip 3. Pipe in tip 3 eyes and mouth. Pipe in tip 3 dot pupils and bead tongue. Add tip 1 glint to eyes.

Cover crown, face, robe, arms and feet with tip 16 stars. Build nose and right arm with tip 16 stars. Pipe in book with tip 7 (pat smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch). Pipe tip 16 pull-out star hair. Pipe tip 3 dot faces in windows with tip 1s facial features.

For torch: Cut ice cream cone vertically in half, fill with icing and position on arm. Outline torch with tip 3; fill in with tip 16 stars. Outline fingers with tip 3 and fill in with tip 16 stars. Spatula stripe bag filled with tip 8B and pipe swirl motion flame. Pipe tip 21 star bottom border. Add sprinkle decorations.
