CYMBIDIUM BUTTERFLY ORCHID CAKE

This cake picture was emailed to me from a customer. This cake appeared on page 49 of Bride's Special Receptions Issue APR 2004 and is credited to Cake Crumbs.

PRODUCTS: Note that there are 3 or more orchid buds that we cannot obtain. These should be made of gumpaste. It looks like you will need about 6 for each cascade (18) and 3 on the top. It also looks like there is a ribbon around the edge of the board the cake is on. If you want to make your own orchids, ivy etc., the cutters are located HERE: Cakes look to be sizes: 14-10-6 inch, 2 layers per tier. About 150 servings.
There seem to be 3 cascades of flowers around the cake.
The stems look to be tinted slightly. This is done using very light green petal dust

DIRECTIONS - Just my guess!
You will need to form several long orchid buds and ivy buds on wires, as shown. Make them out of fondant or gumpaste (*gumpaste will dry much nicer with little if any breakage).
