PRODUCTS: Note that there are
3 or more orchid buds that we cannot obtain. These should be made of gumpaste.
It looks like you will need about 6 for each cascade (18) and 3 on the
top. It also looks like there is a ribbon around the edge of the board
the cake is on.
If you want to make your own orchids,
ivy etc., the cutters are located HERE:
Cakes look to be sizes: 14-10-6 inch,
2 layers per tier. About 150 servings.
There seem to be 3 cascades of flowers
around the cake.
The stems look to be tinted slightly.
This is done using very light green petal dust
DIRECTIONS - Just my guess!
You will need to form several
long orchid buds and ivy buds on wires, as shown. Make them out of fondant
or gumpaste (*gumpaste will dry much nicer with little if any breakage).
-
Make all the flowers or buds ahead of
time. These can be done well ahead of the wedding date.
-
The gumpaste flowers will need to be
tinted using a brush and petal dust.
-
When dried, assemble using floral tape.
Brush the floral tape pale green.
-
The flowers won't need to be assemble
and wire into a cascade.
-
Each bunch or type of leaf or flower
can be placed against the cake as shown.
GOOD LUCK! I hope this helps...Dolores
