Powdered
Food Coloring -
Its so easy, just one or two shakes and you're done! Powdered color will
color almost anything; sugar, coconut for Easter "grass", sand, raw cookie
balls, etc. And it is the ONLY thing for making Panorama sugar
eggs in pastel colors!
.
NOTE
OF SHARING:
I needed to do an experiment for a bride. She wanted to use sugar crystals
for the edges and their initials for cookies to serve at her wedding. But
she needed navy blue, not the lighter color. So, I added just a little
of our royal blue POWDERED food coloring to the crystals. Two shakes and
NO mess and they are perfect color! SO... when you need a different shade...
this is a very easy way to achieve it! This would work with any of the
sugars or sprinkles.
.
NOTICE: These colors are lightweight
and during packaging will fill the air making bottling difficult. Color
gets everywhere. Several manufactures have elected not to bottle small
jars. We hope others will not follow. If so, it will be difficult to get
anything under 5 pounds of one color. For this reason, color may be on
the outside of packaging and bottles. We do not clean them up before shipping.
Realize that if more man hours were spent on clean-up... colors would be
twice as expensive. Also, some manufactures use coated jars which will
rub off the more you twist the lid on and off. Its all in the cost of the
bottle. Realize that this in no way damaging or cause for alarm. Bottles
are sealed with a removable seal. BUT it may stay in the lid once you open
it. This is no cause for alarm either. Leave it in the lid, it will help
seal the color while not in use. Regretably these colors are not returnable
for any reason. |
