Wrap sucker
stick with floral
tape adding silk craft
leaf. Make royal icing rose directly on stick. Push in foam to dry. Fill
flower pot mold #1010 with Chocolate,
add flower sucker. Hold in place a minuet or two. Freeze to remove pot.
Wrap pot with a 4x4
candy foil square.

Cut a wax paper the size of your
cake. Divide it in sections. Place a toothpick at each fold (see photo).
Measure size. Cut a cardboard template to fit height and width, matching
measurements between each toothpick. This will serve as a template for
the Antique Mold. Roll fondant 1/8 inch thick. Cut panels. Dust mold with
cornstarch or powdered sugar. Place fondant into Antique Mold and press.
Make all Antique Mold panels that are needed cuting to fit template. Put
Antique Mold plaques aside while designing top of cake. The plaque on top
of cake should be a little larger than the top of the cake. Roll and cut
fondant circle. Apply panels and circle of fondant to cake by brushing
cake with apricot glaze or clear piping gel first. Airbrush flower pot
design and panels with airbrush food color if desired. Antique Flower Panels
on the Pot of Flowers cake (above) were left white. Add borders and other
decorations as desired.

I was thrilled when the molds
were completed. I experimented with them on a panel cake. This worked very
well on a large rolled fondant cake. I also made impressions on unbaked
cookies, adding color before or after they were baked. I also used the
molds for chocolate. They made a beautiful piece of candy. I later found
out that by spreading Bakers Joy very lightly over the chocolate and leaving
it dry, I could airbrush color on white chocolate. Frances... from her
