TIP: You can use candy molds for cookie molds too. Just press the dough in using flour on the mold, unmold and bake.
Your details will be there. It is best if the dough is cold for this so it doesn't spread so much.

GINGERBRED FOREST
Enjoy fun times with your children or grand children making personalized cookies and wonderful memories. Kids and adults enjoy creating cookie shapes together. Of course every child (of all ages) loves to put their new cookie cutter to use making fresh delicious cookies. They can also make permanent decorations using baking dough that can then be painted for holiday gifts. Christmas tree ornaments and various refrigerator magnets are always fun to create, give and receive. Many home makers like using the warm rich look of aluminum or copper cookie cutters as country style wall decorations. Cutter shapes also mix well within dry floral arrangements or wreaths for variety and contrast. Make gifts that charm and get used over and over again.

  • .Our press cutters leave a sharp clear impression in the dough after baked. Follow baked in impression with icing to add color.
  • .Try baking your best cookies using cutters with Handles by Anne Clark. The ease will be unbelievable. If you've been looking for those cutters from your child hood... look here!
  • Choose from metal, plastic, copper, open cutters & the press plastic cutters
  • ***Candy Molds*** can be used for fancy shaped cookies using this recipe that won't spread out while baking. There are thousands to choose from!
  • *Personalized printing on Boxes, ribbons and candy bar wrappers!*
  • UPC code labels: Tip from a customer: I recently purchased some tin cutters at a local store with those nasty stickers.  All I did was put a bit of cooking oil on the sticker.  After abt 5 min or so, the sticker comes off very easily.

Things to do with cookie cutters
.

Shared by Nancy Royce - I have found that when you try to peel off the sticker (UPC label) and you are left with the glue and the underside of the paper, use vegetable oil.  Let it soak in and your sticker and glue will come off easily and it has the advantages of not rusting your cookie cutter and being readily available in your home.  I have used this on glass, plastic, metal--all the things manufacturers stick them on.

* Book Description HERE
* We have received a few problems with cutters that have the UPC sticker on them. These would be stock numbers in the 2000 or 3000 range. When using this brand of cutters for crafts, favors, etc. you may wish to remove the sticker. This particular manufacture refuses not to put UPC stickers on EVERY cutter they sell. We apologize, we have tried numerous times to make a request not to put them on for craft purposes. At the manufactures suggestion the UPC sticker may be removed with Acetate nail polish remover; DO NOT SOAK!  Tinplate will rust! or  try a product called UNDO from Home Depot or a hardware store or try Goo Gone from your local department store.

In some cases, we may be able to locate the same cutter from a different manufacture, we will slowly replace the 2000 and 3000 series cutters with the new manufacture. These will be the 1000 series numbers or any cutter beginning with the letter B. We will make every attempt to help you in your craft pursuit.

If for any reason you do not want cutters with UPC stickers, email our Customer Service department and they can track them down. It may take 2-4 weeks for delivery but we'll make ever attempt to help you.

What are the TIN cutters made of?
Our tin ware is made from tinplate - thin sheets of steel coated with tin, a natural metal, on both sides.

Are tin cookie cutters food safe?
Yes. The cookie cutters contain no lead or antimony. Our cutters are perfectly safe for use with food.

The cutting edges of the cutter can be sharp. Edges are ground, making them smooth and safe to handle,
but cookie cutters can, with careless handling, cut skin and mar furniture.

 Will the tin items rust?
The tin coating will not rust unless scratched deep enough to penetrate through to the steel core.    The cut edges
may rust in time as the steel core is exposed.    Treat your tin items with loving care and they will last for generations.
Wash cutters with a mild dish soap and dry thoroughly.    We recommend you use a hair dryer.    Do not leave them in your sink drain or on a damp towel. Cutters will rust if exposed to moisture.

ROLL OUT COOKIES
These cookies won't lose their shape while baking!

Ingredients for 10 doz.
2 cups butter or margarine
2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
2 tsp. flavoring (vanilla, almond, wintergreen, or rose)
 I use vanilla
4 1/2 cups Gold Medal Flour
1/2 tsp. salt

Ingredients for 20 doz.
4 cups butter or margarine
4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
4 tsp. flavoring (vanilla, almond, wintergreen, or rose) I use vanilla
9 cups Gold Medal Flour
1 tsp. salt

Mix butter, sugar, and flavoring thoroughly. Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting. Mix flour and salt; stir in. Mix with hands.
Heat oven to 375° ( mod. hot ).  Hold cookies at room temperature for awhile if hard to slice. Bake 8 to 10 min. DO NOT BROWN.

For roll out cookies:
Roll out dough (like making a pie crust). Wrap in waxed paper or plastic wrap; lay flat, chill several hours or overnight. Cut shapes about 1/4" thick.

Place a little apart on ungreased baking sheet.  Roll out any leftover dough and cut to shapes. If dough gets too warm, chill it again as above. Bake as above. DO NOT BROWN.

For sliced - fast to make cookies:
Mold in rolls about 2" across.
Pour out candy sprinkles (such as non-pariels), on the plastic sheet and roll to coat edges of roll. You could use pretty sugars or other sprinkle candies too.
Wrap in waxed paper or plastic wrap; chill several hours or overnight. Cut slices abut 1/8" thick.
Place a little apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake as above. DO NOT BROWN.
